In the community
At Stewart Milne Group, corporate social responsibility is at the heart of what we do, and we are pleased to have supported more than 20 organisations, charities and communities in 2019 delivering thousands of manual-hours and pledging over £100,000.
Our charity and community projects are as diverse as the areas we build in, and houses and timber frames that we build and range from sponsoring Christmas festivals, building community gardens, funding university scholarships, building homes in Kenya, refurbishing local schools and sponsoring the Stonehaven Fireballs new-year ceremony.
Our employees are passionate about raising the profile of the sector, whether they are putting their efforts behind fundraising, or promoting the construction industry and the business as a great place for prospective employees to work. We're proud to make a positive difference and continue to look for the next project to support.

Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)
During October and November over 200 Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire S2 pupils took part in the Build Your Future event, designed to highlight the full range of exciting, inspiring and rewarding career choices within the construction industry to pupils, parents and teachers.
One of the event heats was held at Stewart Milne Group's head office and was attended by six schools who tried out a range of tasks that allowed them to build like a Pro, organise like a CEO and market like an Instagram Influencer.
The top schools attended the final held at Pittodrie where Stewart Milne spoke with the aspiring construction professionals about his time as an apprentice and his colourful career journey.

Stewart Milne Homes Central raised over £40,000 at their annual charity ball held on the 7th September and attended by 450 guests from both staff and supply chain. Taking the total that the division has raised for the charity to £230,000 over the past eight years.
The funds raised will go towards helping the charity continue to support people and families affected by cancer. From providing wellbeing and patient care services to funding pioneering research and specialist clinical posts, Beatson Cancer Charity reaches out to patients across the West of Scotland. It strives to support The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, an internationally renowned institution.

Social Bite Charity
Stewart Milne and colleagues across Scotland joined the world's largest sleep out in support of Social Bite. An Edinburgh based charity with a mission to bring Scotland together, to build a collaborative movement to end homelessness.
The sleep out happened in Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh on what was the coldest night of the year- the 8th December. Stewart and the team were aware that they were doing this for one evening, amongst colleagues, friends and family, whereas thousands of people do this every night alone.
The group of employees who participated collectively raised over £20,000 for the charity, ranking Stewart Milne Group in the top ten corporate fundraising teams.
