Fraser has been with the business for over 10-months and brings with him a diversity of experience from directorships and senior roles across several countries, industries and sectors including Power, Oil and Gas, Mining, Engineering, Support Services and Construction.
His responsibilities include managing the company’s financial control environment and supporting the strategic direction of the organisation as part of the senior team by encouraging collaboration. Alongside this, Fraser provides leadership and direction for the finance function and maximises financial profit, cash performance and shareholder return by continually reviewing financial opportunities and risk to the business.
Fraser's operational and varied financial management experience and his dedication to delivering integrity, whether financially or while dealing with people and businesses, helps him build great relationships and deliver results for the Group.
His down to earth nature, in no doubt, helps him nurture positive relationships, a personality trait he credits to Kilmarnock Football Club. As a lifelong fan, he believes his team has taught him to stay grounded, set realistic goals, manage expectations, practice patience and importantly, not only to have; but to maintain a sense of humour.
Fraser's love of travel, experiencing new cultures, and passion for football saw him visit Japan in 2002 during the World Cup. He was bold enough to wear a kilt outside the stadium, unusual gear given that Scotland didn't qualify. His outfit choice (kilt combined with a Japanese football top) attracted some attention, and he found himself interviewed on loop on Japanese breakfast television. We're planning on putting his sense of humour to the test, and although he claims the footage is nowhere to be found, we're having a good look.
