Sustainability

Stewart Milne Group is fully committed to playing our part in reducing the impact of climate change and protecting our biodiversity. We aim to become a net zero carbon business, delivering sustainable communities and net zero carbon homes by 2045.

Our Commitment

This is our commitment to deliver on our ambition to be a net zero carbon business by 2045 – 5 years ahead of the UK Government’s target for net zero carbon new build homes by 2050.

Over the past 45 years we have prided ourselves in being a family run independent business that understands the importance of innovation, teamwork and attracting the highest skilled staff.

This approach makes us a market leader in building great homes and places to live. Living in a home, street and community that’s well-designed and well-built lies at the heart of sustainable development. We are very conscious of the long lasting legacy of all our new communities.

Delivering net zero carbon across our entire business is an inherent part of our business strategy and our social responsibility.

Our Aspirations

Our goal is to be a net zero carbon business, delivering sustainable communities and net zero carbon homes, by 2045.

Our Sustainability Strategy sets out a framework which we will use to ensure we deliver on our ambitions to be a leading independent net zero carbon developer by 2045.

Our Influences, Goals and Targets

Our Goals & Targets

Within each of these ten goals, we have short, medium and long term targets. These form our Sustinablity Framework.

We will remain agile and flexible to ensure that our goals and targets are both ambitious, but realistic and deliver our ambitions of next zero carbon homes and communities by 2045.

The timescales associated with each goal has been split into three clear phases. Further detail will be developed year on year to ensure all targets are met within these overall dates.
