| Stewart Milne Group, one of the UK’s leading developers, has been awarded a Gold Award in this year’s RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards. The awards, judged by representatives from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), are a key fixture in the health and safety calendar and Stewart Milne Group’s success demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards. As well as accident records, the RoSPA awards programme looks at entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement. Stewart Milne Group will be presented with its Gold Award at a ceremony in Glasgow later this year. Premium developer, Stewart Milne Timber Systems, has scooped the award for Sustainability Innovation at the 2010 Inside Housing Sustainable Housing Awards for its new Sigma II build system.
Stewart Milne Construction has secured two contracts totalling £7 million from Moray Council and the University of Abertay, Dundee. The company will build a new campus HQ for Moray Council to replace a network of satellite offices in the Elgin area.
